How can I check gear availability?Just select the gear you need by browsing the "Shop" page and adding items to your cart. When you proceed to checkout, enter the dates of your camping trip and we'll get back to you shortly with confirmation of gear availability.

I'm a Lender, how do I ensure my gear will be well taken care of?"We understand that your gear is special to you and can represent a significant investment. The Gear Shed places a hold on a refundable bond paid by the Borrower until your gear makes it back to you safe and sound.

What happens if my gear gets damaged?While we expect all of Borrowers will treat your gear as their own, accidents can happen. In the case of damaged gear, repairs, cleaning, or replacement cost will be taken out of the bond paid by the Borrower.

I have gear to lend, how can I become a Lender?"Becoming a Lender is easy! Just shoot us an email at info.thegearshed@gmail.com, detailing the gear you would like to lend. 1. Take pictures of the item from a few angles. Where applicable, take pictures of the item set up, and in it's packed form. 2. In your email please tell us: - The make or brand of the gear - The current condition of the gear, (including minor damage or "well-loved" marks - Additional details about the item

How do I pick up or drop off gear?Once gear availability has been confirmed by The Gear Shed team, the Borrower and Lender will be put in touch to organize pick up and drop off.

How do I get paid as a Lender?The Borrower pays the rental fee for the gear to The Gear Shed upon booking request. Once the gear has been transferred from the Lender to the Borrower, and we have received confirmation of pickup from the Borrower, The Gear Shed team will transfer your money directly to your account.
